Heidi S. Rosenberg, M.D.
Dr. Heidi Rosenberg graduated with a B.A. in chemistry from the City University of New York in 1978. She worked for The Research Foundation of the City of New York doing organic chemistry research in an attempt to develop drugs helpful for cancer patients by reducing the side effects from chemotherapeutic agents. Additionally, Dr. Rosenberg taught chemistry in a High School in downtown Brooklyn.
She began her medical school training at the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez in Juarez, Mexico and graduate in 1983. From 1984 – 1985, she completed a year of supervised clinical training ( Fifth Pathway) under the auspices of Downstate Medical Center, School of Medicine at the Brooklyn Hospital. Dr. Rosenberg began her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Brooklyn Caledonian Hospital from and completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark in 1989
Since 1989, Dr. Rosenberg has been in private practice. She became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1993. She is the medical Director of Cityscape OB/GYN, PLLC.
She is fluent in Spanish and English.
Dr. Rosenberg is the mother of teenage twin boys and enjoys giving talks in Middle and High School health classes as well as informational talks for parents. She has expertise in colposcopy, management of fibroids, and has a special interest in both adolescent and menopausal care.
Carmit Archibald , M.D.
Carmit Archibald, M.D., joined our practice in August 2006. She graduated magna cum laude from Yale University in 1997 with a B.S. in biology. In 2001, she graduated from Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Archibald completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she received multiple teaching awards as well as an award in humanism in medicine. After completion of her residency, Dr. Archibald joined Mount Kisco Medical Group, where she practiced until joining Cityscape OB/GYN LLP.
Dr. Archibald provides all general gynecologic and obstetric care, and has particular interest in the management of osteoporosis, irregular bleeding, and endocrine abnormalities. She also has expertise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and colposcopy. Dr. Archibald is fluent in Hebrew and conversant in Spanish.
Karen Gronau, M.D.
Dr. Karen Gronau was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She attended the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science, Honors Biology. She completed a Master of Science degree in Physiology at the University of Toronto, during which she did research into adult onset diabetes. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto, and went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology there.
During the residency, Dr. Gronau worked in several large tertiary care hospitals that functioned as referral centers for many rural parts of Ontario, thus gaining exposure to a large volume as well as a wide variety of cases. She trained in the fields of high-risk obstetrics, pediatric gynecology, infertility and gynecological surgery, as well as routine obstetrics. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Gronau relocated to New York, and she was previously in practice with Suffolk Ob/Gyn Group on Long Island. She became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005. She provides routine obstetrical and gynecological care, and performs colposcopy and other office procedures in addition to major and minor gynecological procedures.
Dr. Gronau has traveled extensively throughout the world and is fluent in French and Spanish.
Luba Soskin, M.D.
Luba Soskin M.D. is the newest member of our practice. She graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan in 1997 with a biopsychology and cognitive science concentration. Dr. Soskin stayed in Michigan and graduated from Wayne State School of Medicine in 2002. She then came to New York to complete her residency at NY Downtown Hospital. Dr. Soskin has been involved with research throughout her undergraduate and medical career. She has published papers and given presentations on various topics of women’s health such as ectopic pregnancy, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sexual dissatisfaction.
Prior to joining CityScape OB/GYN, Dr. Soskin is a faculty member practicing at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. She was actively involved in resident and medical student teaching and became an assistant professor of OB/GYN at Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
Dr. Soskin achieved board certification in 2007 and became a Fellow of the College of Obstetrics/Gynecology in 2009.
Dr. Soskin’s interests include hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, as well as management of endocrinologic problems and family planning.
Dr. Soskin is extensively traveled and is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
Catherine Quinn, RNC, MSN, NP
Catherine is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and Childbirth Educator who has been working in Women's Health since 1983. She obtained her Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner certificate from SUNY - Stoneybrook in 1992. From 1983 through 1992 she worked as a labor and delivery staff nurse and private childbirth educator. She performs routine and emergency gynecology and obstetrical care. She has been a valued member of the clinical provider staff at Cityscape OB/GYN, PLLC since 2000.
